About Us

Akdeniz University Recreation Department was established in 2007. In our department, undergraduate program education and master's program with thesis and doctoral program education are given within the Institute of Social Sciences Recreation Department.

Recreation has an important place in terms of preventing "inactivity", which is considered an important health risk of today's people, with sports and open space activities, physical, mental and social development of people of all ages, contribution to family, regional and national economy, tourism, health and sports activities, promotion of our country and national income.

The general aim of the recreation department education program is to train "recreation specialists" with physical competence that can adapt to mobility, strong communication skills, contemporary, technological developments.
