Department Chair's Message

Dear Students;

Our recreation department is located within the Faculty of Sports Sciences within the Akdeniz University Campus in Konyaaltı district of Antalya. Our department was established in 2007 and provides undergraduate program education, master's program with thesis and doctoral program education within the Institute of Social Sciences Recreation Department.

In the light of universal values, Akdeniz University Department of Recreation aims to train highly qualified recreation specialists who can adapt to the ever-changing and renewing global conditions and technology and perceive the needs of the age, contribute to the understanding of the importance of recreation science in academic and social life in our country, virtuous, knowledgeable, contemporary, ethical values, constructive, creative, respectful to human rights, lifelong learning, teaching and communication skills, for the future of generations and to present them for the benefit of society. At the same time, the program aims to ensure that graduates of the program have the ability to plan and manage programs that will enable individuals to spend their free time in a healthy way, and have the ability to use parks effectively and purposefully.

During your education life, an active education and training process in which you can improve yourself with the well-equipped, dynamic, academic and physical infrastructure of our faculty and department and participate in many local, national and international scientific and sports activities awaits you.
