Task Description

The department board gives an opinion on the preparation of the necessary plans and cooperation principles in order to make the most effective use of the programs, tools, equipment and physical facilities of the education, training, practice and research activities of the department and, if any, the departmental departments. The recommendations to be prepared by the department board on these issues are implemented after the approval of the head of the department.

Task Description

Accepting applications for student representative candidacy and announcing representative candidates for at least 3 (three) days before the elections,
To announce the results of the student representative election and notify the Faculty / High School / Conservatory / Vocational High School Election Board with a report,
To evaluate and decide on the objections to the department student representative elections.

ADVISORY BOARD AND EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS

Task Description

The departmental advisory board carries out studies and makes recommendations to the unit managers regarding the cooperation with non-university institutions and organizations, updating the course curricula of the unit, conducting projects and scientific activities on the subjects needed by the public and private sectors in the professional fields related to the unit in terms of education-training, research activities and social contribution to the unit. Decisions are taken by majority vote of the board members attending the meeting.

GRADUATE COMMITTEE

Task Description

To ensure the continuity of the relations between the relevant Unit and its graduates and to ensure that graduates are informed about current issues in scientific and professional fields,
To follow their employment status after graduation,
Establishing and developing relationships of loyalty and solidarity among the graduates and students of the relevant unit,
Organizing educational activities such as courses, conferences, panels, symposiums, congresses, conducting professional research and publishing their results in order to increase and improve the knowledge and professional skills of graduates,
To ensure the participation of the graduates of the relevant unit in the Akdeniz University Alumni Information System. To help collect up-to-date data by using the alumni tracking method dynamically.
To ensure coordination with Akdeniz University Career Development Application and Research Center in all activities.
The Commission convenes with the absolute majority of the total number of members upon the call of the Chairman. Decisions are taken with the majority of the votes of those attending the meeting.

COURSE EXEMPTION and COURSE EQUIVALENCY EVALUATION COMMISSION

Task Description

The exemption commission determines the exemption and semester / year adjustment principles of the courses that the students who have the right to enroll in the department have previously taken and succeeded in a Higher Education Institution, including Akdeniz University, excluding distance education programs.

Exemption requests; It is made once for all the courses requested, including the fifth working day following the start of the courses in the first semester of the student's first registration at the University or the first semester of arrival. Students who do not request exemption within the deadline must submit the relevant

HORIZONTAL TRANSFER COMMITTEE

Task Description

It is a commission that shows the activities of the department within the scope of the regulation on the procedures and principles of horizontal transfer of students between Akdeniz University and equivalent programs at the undergraduate level of higher education institutions whose equivalence is recognized by the Council of Higher Education.

ACADEMIC INCENTIVE APPLICATION AND REVIEW COMMITTEE

Task Description

Academic staff submit their academic incentive applications to the relevant unit academic incentive application and review commission of the higher education institution where they have tenure within the scope of the published application calendar, together with the printout obtained from YÖKSİS, and the examples, evidence and documents regarding academic activities in accordance with the announced procedure. The unit academic incentive application and review commission may request additional explanations, information and documents from the applicants regarding their academic activities when deemed necessary at all stages of the evaluations. Applicants are obliged to fulfill such requests. Applications made by academic staff are examined by the unit academic incentive application and review commission.

The unit academic incentive application and review commission convenes with the absolute majority of the total number of members, including the chairman, and takes decisions with the absolute majority of those attending the meeting. In case of equal votes, the decision is deemed to have been taken in favor of the vote of the chairman of the commission. Members cannot abstain from voting.
